We were recently invited to participate in a styled shoot with an amazing group of vendors and of course we said yes! It's hard to turn down an opportunity to create something beautiful just for the sake of creating.
The weather that weekend was a little iffy which made us nervous, but with a few inches of snow already on the ground and a few more FEET in the forecast, the coordination team at Love is Love Events and Theresa Liska Photography decided to play it safe and change the venue from the Chapel of the Holy Dove to Little America Hotel. It was definitely the right decision, as you'll see in the photos. The snow on the ground was the perfect amount to make the moody burgundy and mauve tones pop and created a very romantic atmosphere. It doesn't hurt that the gazebo at Little America on their East lawn is a perfect romantic setting with string lights in front and a whole forest behind it.
We couldn't be happier with how the photos turned out and we were so thrilled to work alongside such an amazing team of talented female wedding vendors!
We created this bouquet featuring roses, succulents, white wax flower, preserved bunny grass, chrysanthemums, and of course plenty of eucalyptus! We love how the deep burgundy colors in the bouquet were mirrored by the dark lipstick shade on the gorgeous model Annette.
We love photographers who take the time to get close-up shots of the bouquet! My favorite thing about this bouquet is the combination of all the textures, from the glowing succulent to the fuzzy bunny grass.
No wedding or elopement would be complete without something tasty to munch on. And munch we did! Sedona Bakery and Junipine Platter Co killed it on the cake and charcuterie board, respectively.
Little America Hotel was the perfect venue for this shoot. And they were such gracious hosts, from accommodating us on short notice to lending us a couple of champagne flutes when it came time to pop the bubbly. Their gazebo is the perfect setting for a wedding of any size, in any season!
This is one of our favorite shots of the day. Theresa beautifully captured the setting sun glowing through the snowy forest, which highlighted the floral arch piece perfectly!
Annette, if you're reading this, I hope you know how amazed we all were with how composed you stayed throughout the whole afternoon! It was literally freezing and you somehow managed to look warm and happy and stunning the whole time! You are a trooper, no doubt about it.
Another glorious shot of the triangle arch provided by Love is Love Events. This amazing forest view is located just behind the gazebo at Little America Hotel. This venue really does provide the best of both worlds if you want the luxuries of a hotel wedding with the aesthetics of a forest backdrop.
Thank you again to all of the amazing vendors who included us in this styled shoot and made it come to life! See below for links to their websites.
