We were recently invited by Theresa Liska to collaborate on a styled photoshoot at The Sycamore - a fairly new wedding venue here in Flagstaff with a unique vibe that we had not had the pleasure of working at yet! So we jumped at the opportunity and we love how it turned out!
The Sycamore is an expansive white barn-style building set on a property just off the I-40, east of Flagstaff, complete with sweeping views of The San Francisco Peaks, a string-lighted lawn, and a pond in the background. It's the perfect mix of rustic and refined and we expect it to be a very popular venue with local and out-of-town couples. We hope we'll get to create there again soon!
Theresa's brief was a moody yet springy vibe with burgundy tones and a very specific shade of pink - not too bright and not too pale. Luckily, nature delivered and we found some beautiful tulips and hyacinths that perfectly matched the pink we were hoping for! Along with creamy white roses, deep burgundy scabiosa, and dramatic panda anemones, we pulled together a sweet and fragrant spring bouquet that worked beautifully for Theresa's moody vision and style.
Theresa hand-dyed the table runner herself and it turned out beautifully, I was so excited when I dropped off the pieces to see how well the flowers matched the custom color! The boutonniere was a simple and sweet collection of white wax flower and foliage.
The models Katherine and Mason looked like they had a blast on the the swing, and I mean who wouldn't? What a cool and fun addition to an already beautiful venue.
As usual, Sedona Bakery and Junipine Platter Co did not disappoint on their delightful and delicious goodies. I wish we could have stuck around to munch!
Thank you to Theresa Liska for including us and to all the other vendors who made it happen!
